NEW CTMH Product Blog Hop

WOW - has this month been crazy!!  Close to My Heart has exploded with a plethora of new products and I have been playing with them all!  I hope you are following my blog because I have added several new posts with all types of creative ideas!  If you have been hopping with us, then you have arrived from Georgia's blog.

Lots of creativity is flowing among my "CTMH sistas"! ....and you do not want to miss a single post.  I created a layout using the new La Belle Vie and some old photos from my "youth' - OK - so not so long ago but I think 15 years ago is a long time!!  (I was actually THIN! :) ) At the time I was sewing up a storm and I had the opportunity to enter the Pfaff Dealer Fashion Show with a jacket that I had designed and stitched.  My inspiration for this jacket came from several vintage tea towels and a vintage 1949 pattern!

The new Cricut Artiste cartridge came in handy with the sewing designs that I added to the layout.  Plus this layout is chock full of NEW embellishments
The NEW Black Tulle Ribbon - Z1798 and the Slate Glitter accents - Z1787

And I wrapped some embroidery floss around the cut out spool and added the Sparkles Black Flourishes Z1745 and the Bling Assortment  Z1466 to accent the layout.

So now it is off to Lalia's blog to view her gorgeous artwork featuring the brand NEW Close to My Heart products.

Enjoy!!

As the Artist,  I decided to create a door hanger with the Artiste cartridge and YES - you can do it all with the Artiste!  I wanted to challenge myself with the designs to see what I could create.  SOOO I just added another image to the cartridge. :) making it 701 images!!

 I started with the circle.

Then I pulled up the rectangle with rounded corners
I combined them to create the door hanger and then copied a smaller version and added the Boo, Eek! and Spooky to the inside rectangles.  I saved the file in the color of Sunset - RGB codes in this software are under in the Mat Layers tab (click on the color dot to change them)
Here the link for this ccr file...Cricut Craft Room file here

I embellished the doorhangers with the following CTMH products:

X7161 Moonlight paper pack- NEW!
Black and White Daisy cardstock
Black, Slate-NEW! White Daisy and Sunset ink colors
B1413 Perfect Fit-Halloween stamp set -NEW!
Z1798 - Black Tulle Ribbon - NEW!
Z1802 - Satin Polkadot Ribbon - NEW!

Now it is off to Jessica's blog to check out her artwork!

Day 2 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop

Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed Rebecca's post here!

This is the first time in a LONG time that I have actually counted down the days in a month!  But here I am with the second post of the month.  Today's design is the Gable Box and I have a good idea - O.K. , maybe a great idea!  I created this treat box for a special little girl named Cali ...... she loves it when I bring her a treat and this week I brought her some bird treats! a.k.a Angry Bird graham crackers!  But I did disguise them in a gable box - so easy to create!
So I created a two-sided gable box using the Cricut Craft Room - a FREE download from Cricut Craft Room.comYou can find the link here.

Here is the other side of the box.
It was really easy to do with adding a rectangle to the original gable box and then a copy of the faces to the rectangle!  If you are interested in receiving the FREE Cricut Craft Room file, email me at SweetAline@verizon.net and I will send the ccr file to you.  Here are what the files look like...

Second mat layer of the file- Gable Box 2

Don't forget that this is a circular blog hop and you can access the files in the sidebar right under the Artiste in August blog badge.  Now it is off to Jessica's blog here!

Artiste in August Blog Hop

Welcome to our Artiste in August Blog Hop!  15 consultants for Close to My Heart are participating in this circular blog hop for the 31 days in August!

If you  have been hopping along with us, then you have arrived from Rebecca Kings' blog   Isn't her work awesome?  The shape we have selected for this first day is the Magazine file on pg. 37 in the handbook.  It was very easy to assemble and I used the Assembly Book instructions to help me out!  Be sure to download and save the Cricut handbook file to your computer to refer to the shapes that we are using for the day.

I had an idea that everyone would create a card box using this file so I decided to mix things up a bit and create a gift box for one of the prizes at my upcoming Open House.  The size of the magazine file is 6" which is the default size for this image.

I used the S1208 August SOTM Baroque Borders to accent the border and tied the new Z1781 Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon around the file to create the gift box.
One of my lucky customers will receive this as a gift for winning a Giddy Up Bingo Game!  It is a  Ruby stamp pad, NEW Alcohol markers (stand-in at the moment :)) and re-inker from one of CTMH NEW Colors!

Now it is on to Jessica Wilson's blog where I am sure you will find another lovely Cricut design.  If you would like to go back  to any of these designers, just click on the links below:
