My little Snow Angel!

Robbie loved to play in the first snowfall of the year and all of these photos are snippets of what my husband and I remember most about it!  I have used up the last of the Aspen paper pack and there are only a few pieces left!  So it is NOW time to move onto the NEW Close to My Heart Spring and Summer paper packs!  Look for sneak 'previews' coming your way this week!

 

A HUGE thank you to the H2H challenge "Snow Much Fun" here for the inspiration I needed to scrap these winter photos and finally use up the two paper packs and embellishments!

LOAD #4 - Another wintry scene - a 'blast from the past'!

LOAD #4 - I am trying to catch up on my photos so I can say that I actually accomplished something!  The H2H challenge this week is "Snow Much Fun"  and I have several photos to scrapbook before I move onto Spring and Summer!

Here are some of the photos from the home we built in WNY- I loved that home but the weather was awful!  Ok - maybe not so bad now that I live in Florida.  BUT I do not function very well in COLD weather!  I know that many of my hometown friends are enjoying the balmy weather in WNY but it it supposed to SNOW in January!

So I am adding LOAD #4 - (I know - a little behind) but at least they are scrapped!.,...20 years later....

Not A Very Good start!

But again- it could be worse!!!...  I fell yesterday and broke my ankle and so I am now trying to amuse myself during the day....  a very tough job indeed - for someone who is so active!

So I dragged out a few layouts that I had created in 2012 and started adding photos to them!  The layout that I worked on today was a Studio J layout that I added some stickers and embellishments to complete the layout!  Isn't it fabulous how you can add some stickers and embellishments?..... and viola!  -it is completed!

The layout is "Picture Perfect" from Studio J and I added the stickers and embellishments to complete it! The paper pack is from Wonderland and I added the stickers to the design.  Viola- it done!

So I am trying to 'challenge' myself this year and enter a few challenges!  redundant, I know....  :) This is for the "Snow Much Fun"  Heart 2 Heart challenge for the week and the "LOAD" layout for the month  at the Let's Scrap blog.  2 for 1 - what a deal!!

04/17 H2H Recycled Coke Can Card

Well I was digging through the recycle bin this weekend and retrieved a Coke can for the Heart 2 Heart Recycle Challenge for this week! I made this card for my husband's co-worker who has been driving him home after work because we are sharing a car with our son (until yesterday!) The first thing I did was cut up the can with a pair of utility scissors.


Then I ran it through the Cuttlebug to emboss the tire image onto the can. I then cut it to fit the card and adhered it down.

Here is the finished card using a retired paper pack called Route 66. the funniest part to all of this is I was actually lying down in the road to take the picture! Only 3 cars drove by..... they were nice enough NOT to run me over...

04/30 CTMH May SOM Blog Hop

OMG - I give up! Where did the month of April go?....... Can you believe it is time for another SOM blog hop? So if you have arrived from Dawn's blog, I bet you have been busy hopping from blog to blog! Well do not give up - you have another one to hop to (besides mine, that is....) This month's stamp set is perfect for that last minute card or gift tag! SO here is my 'last minute" birthday card for a male friend or relative!



I incorporated two other challenges in this card and I am feeling pretty special at this moment!

The first one is the Mojo Monday ... here is the sketch


I changed it slightly so it is not a perfect representation of the sketch - but I still like it!

The second challenge is from our very own CTMH Heart 2 Heart challenge is which we had to use at least 2 ribbons on our project. So I dug out my container with a bunch of retired ribbon rounds and found that I like the color of New England Ivy better with the colors of the new paper pack - X7126 Passages. So I added 3 ribbon strips instead of 2!

04/25 Heart 2 Heart Challenge #3

Yikes - a really busy weekend with my son and his girlfriend BUT I am not complaining! I love having them here and I must admit I am slightly disappointed that they flew back home tonight..... So as I finish off the weekend I did have time to make a card following this weeks's H2H challenge - check out the sketch....



I thought of creating a layout but changed my mind and made a card instead. I decided to use another NEW paper pack -X7124 Splendor AND the best part - this new paper pack may be the perfect paper for my beach pictures that I took this past weekend! So it is official- you MUST come back for another 'sneak preview' later on in the week!

Have you ever been in a mood that you want to use up your stash before you break out the new supplies? Well that was me this week. My beautiful new papers are laying right next to me and I decided to work with a paper pack from Summer 2009 - Back Country! So I checked out the Mojo Monday sketch and decided to attempt to create one card for two challenges! Here is sketch #134.

04/07 Heart 2 Heart Challenge #1

I LOVE Close to My Heart - do you?



A new Challenge blog has "hatched"! Sorry - about the pun. There will be a variety of challenges posted and Close To My Heart products are required to enter. The challenge is for everyone and if you need any CTMH products to participate, I know where you can find some! The original post for each week can be found here.
