November SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Close to My Heart SOTM Blog Hop.  Over 60 consultants are participating this month but BE PATIENT.  Some of the ladies who participate every month may be without power and this hop should be finalized by November 7th!  I, for one, know of the fears of living through a hurricane, but thankfully I have never lived through one like this!  our thoughts and prayers are with everyone on the east coast.

If you have been hopping along, then you have just arrived from Shirley's Ross blog  and viewed her awesome creation.  This month's stamp set is S1211 Capture the Date and is a perfect set for all of your scrapbook layouts and cards to make sure you remember the dates of the events!

Here is the artwork from corp which also gives you some alternative ideas to use with this stamp set.

Ironically I flew up to WNY last week to visit my family and see a little of the fall foliage.  Fortunately my plane was scheduled to leave Sunday night and I flew home without any incidents.  One day it was absolutely beautiful ( the rest - no so much....)  It was a sunny fall day with highs in the 70's and I was out taking pictures of the foliage.  Sadly many of the leaves had fallen and by Sunday night, they were blown off the trees!  But I think you can figure out what the date was!

This layout is also the November Make It From YOUR Heart workshop layout BUT you do have a choice of "Thanksgiving" , "Give Thanks" or "Fall" for your wording. I hope to be able to make another layout before the workshop next week - we will just have to see.

Here is my PicMonkey collage of the designs of the layout.  You can see the techniques you will be learning next week - it really is an EZ technique!

It Must be Tuesday!

I love the Cricut Artiste cartridge AND the Art Philosophy cartridge! They are "my go-to"  cartridges that I use in my Cricut anymore. If you own both of them, then you have a total of 1400 images!!

Today's My Craft Channel CTMH video features both of them and how easy it is to create beautiful images using the stamps and Dimensional Elements included in both cartridges.

Here is one of the cards that was featured.

Liebster Award

I have been blogging for several years now.  Posting my art for all to see.  Recently I was honored by Maureen O'Sullivan as she selected me for the Liebster Award.

I have admired Maureen's work the last few months as we have similar tastes in the artwork we create.  Be sure to check out her posts here http://somethingtoscrapabout-maureen.blogspot.com and follow her blog - she never fails to disappoint me!

ABOUT THE AWARD
Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," "Favorite," or "Dearest." This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.

RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!

PAY IT FORWARD
Now I am honored to pass on this award to five creative bloggers.  I thoroughly enjoyed the Artiste in August Blog Hop and I have included a few in my list.  The others I have always been inspired by their artwork in the SOTM Blog Hop held every month.  So enjoy!!
