12/29 My FIRST Digital Design challenge

I am branching out from my creative tree and trying many new ideas I said I would NEVER try don't say 'never'......:) I have purchased a few Copic markers and have played around with some digital designs from Design to Delight Digital designs. I must admit they do not take up as much space as acrylic or rubber stamps! Here is this week's digital design - Whimsical Cardinals

Assorted supplies from Fancy Pants paper pack, CTMH D1452 Find Your Style -"Soar", CTMH Cranberry grosgrain ribbon, R27 Copic marker, CTMH markers, Sunflower, Sky, Pear, plastic snowflake

As I sit here and freeze in Tampa, Fl (yeah right!!- you are thinking in my hometown of Jamestown, NY!), I can't help but add the snowman props to my photo. This is last week's design Valentine Snowman and Mittens that I was not able to post on time - oh well....

If you would like to see what Design to Delight Digital designs are all about and join in next week's challenge, click here!

11/06 It's beginning to feel like FALL!

Wow - it was so cold last night that I had to add another blanket! But it does inspire me to create Thanksgiving and Christmas projects! Here is the last layout that I created last month while my husband was having minor surgery!

Thanksgiving 2006

This is a layout from the "Members Only" section of Studio J - catching up on my layouts is SO easy with Studio J! I never thought that i would ever be a digital scrapper but I really love the quality of the photos and the price of each page! $3.25 per page is cheaper than I pay for the printing of the pictures- what a deal!!

You can try out a page yourself here - why not ask for a studio J membership for Christmas? It is only $99.00 and once a month you'll be able to receive FREE Shipping on your layouts - so I pile up a bunch of layouts each month and then send in one big order!

Enjoy!

10/29 The layout that started this "BOO-fest"!

Kevin came up with the idea! Big Brother dinosaur - little dinosaur - baby brother.... So I designed and made the costumes and they won 1st place at the Cub Scout Halloween Contest in 1985! Studio J helped me to recreate the memory in 2010! How AWESOME is that?!!!

I just wish that Studio J would be able to bring back my little boys.... but alas they are all grown up now! So I will just have to be happy with my memories - THANK YOU Studio J!

Not to have surgery BUT to have WiFi at the hospital and create scrapbook layouts while my hubby has minor surgery! That is exactly what I did yesterday! Plus the luxury of altering the colors of the pages, adding the larger photos - a snap!

10/24 Pumpkin Patch fun!

As a teacher, some students really become part of your 'real' world. These girls are that special to me! So of course, their children are sooo special that they become my 'adopted' grandchildren. I created this sample layout for the Scraporium crop on Saturday and 'my girls' were the perfect picture for the "Now You See It" page from the NEW Magic book from Close to My Heart!

I hope the ladies had as much fun as I did creating this page.... here are "My Girls"

SVG Files – Sure Cuts A Lot

What fun!!! - Halloween cupcakes! I made these Halloween cupcakes this afternoon and then added the cupcake wrappers and stamped images to 'dress' them up a bit! The CTMH Stamp set I used was D1439 Spook Alley and the SVG cut file is from SVG Cuts - Dreadful Halloween Cupcake Wrappers.

Check out my "Sunset" and "Gypsy" cupcakes! I played around with my cake colors to get the same color as the NEW CTMH colors -Sunset and Gypsy. I used a mix of Copper and Orange to create the Sunset color and Violet with a touch of black to create the color of Gypsy!

10/09 Studio J Halloween Layout

oh my! How did this happen?...... I think I was kidnapped and spent the last 5 days in outer space!! BUT now I have returned to BOO you!!!! Someone cast a spell on me - darn Jeanette!- and now I am hooked on Studio J! Seriously I never thought I would become a digital scrapbooker but there are sooo many benefits to this "Magical Medium" that I am hooked!

My favorite holiday is Halloween (did I tell you that yet?) and Robbie LOVED Halloween - It was the only time he would
willingly go into Joann Fabrics! He would pick out the pattern and then I would sew his costume. Do I remember the year? - NO - but now that Robbie is all grown up I can scan the 3 photos and import them into the Studio J software and 'viola' create an awesome layout that he can show his 'kids' when he becomes a dad!

(click on the photo for a larger view)

Supplies:

Studio J membership
"Boo" kit - members only -exclusive to Studio J
"Primadonna" Layout - exclusive to Studio J members

Remember this layout has only 3 pictures in it BUT with Studio J, I was able to add bits and pieces of the 3 photos to create 7 additional photos for the layout!

AND because I have a membership with Studio J this page only cost me $6.50 for a 2 page layout! woozer - $3.25 each page! I would have paid that just for the photos at Walgreens! PLUS I have the jpg file to share with you and my family!!!

So check out my website sweetaline.myctmh.com and sign up for your 12 month membership with Studio J and create your own one-of-a kind Halloween layouts! - or you can 'try it out' and see if Studio J is for you! hmmmm.... I bet you will be a convert as well! Look for a few more Studio J layouts coming your way during this holiday season!

10/03 BOO-ed again!

This is my Halloween Treat Can..... - yeah - I know what you are thinking - the poor children get a pencil and play dough! But really not too many kids complain - last year we had less than 15! But this is a super easy project - just decorate a 1 gallon paint can with gauze and cotton balls and add a few punched circles and a tongue and you are done! Maybe this year I'll buy some candy!

Enjoy!
