I decided since it IS the first day of Spring ( sorry some of you still haven't experienced that yet...), that I am celebrating this event!  For me, the indoor house projects are completed ( well.....almost) and it is time to move outdoors!

I rescued these flowers from the local K-Mart...perfect flowers for a Florida spring! As I was browsing the store, all of the Easter decorations reminded me of spring as well....so here is my embossed Easter card front!

I stamped the images first and then embossed the layer.  Here are a few hints to help you out...

Here is another card using scraps from a Chantilly workshop from last year!  I glued them onto a card base and then embossed the design.  I added the dimensional images after the embossing...DO NOT throw away your scraps!   ..............yeah....I know....

04/18 Heart 2 Heart Bunny Hop

Good Morning This week H2H is celebrating their first Bunny Hop! The theme will be Easter or Spring artwork and MUST include CLOSE TO MY HEART products. Everyone is invited to play along but you must post your artwork between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST here.

Since I love scrapbooking my memories, I was thrilled to be able to put together this Easter Sunday layout from 1992! The original pictures were smaller and lost some of their beautiful color. But I scanned them and loaded them into the Studio J program and viola - you can see the results for yourself!

What is so amusing to me is how basic these two pages are! I have learned so much over the last year and my current layouts look 100% better! But then I forgot how simple my very first scrapbooking page was in 2001!

02/28 SOTM March Blog Hop

I can not believe that it is already March 1st! The stores feel like spring with spring flowers and Easter grass AND the trees are beginning to bloom. It also means that it is time for the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month blog hop. If you have been hopping with everyone else, then you have arrived from Pamela O'Connor's blog and you were inspired with a colorful Easter Bunny design from her.

Here is my version of this stamp set. I used the Modern Grid from the Technique Junkies newsletter.


It was not that hard to do. First stamp all of your designs AND then draw the 1" grid behind the images. Using your ink pads and water blender pen, you can easily color all of the boxes for your design. Add doodles to your design and then you are done!

I had so much fun helping Barbara hide the eggs for her granddaughters! The "Egg Hunt" was totally fun for everyone! As Avery said - "Holy Mamasita!"

Spring is in the Air!

The last few weeks have seemed cold and dreary to me - not Buffalo, NY weather but Tampa, FL weather! I decided to boost my spirits and participate in a Spring swap with a Cricut group. I designed the title for the page using the Cricut Design Studio Software using a great tutorial from "Susan Robot". You can view the link here

The flowers are from our spring garden from last year and the layout is "Creative Rhythm" from the Cherish book. I used the Discovery papers - perfect for the colors in the photos. Enjoy!
