CTMH SOTM Blog Hop

Hello summer!!  and for me 90+ degrees!  Yuk!  But it is June and my flowers are doing wonderfully in the warm sunshine.  By August, though , they will look dreadful!  I hope you are enjoying the hop so far.  We have 55 Close to My Heart consultants participating this month, so be sure and check out everyone's art work.

If you have been hopping along, then you have arrived from LeAnne's blog and have checked out her "bird-i-ful" cards!  Isn't this stamp set cute?!!

This month's set is S1206 Life is Tweet and is full of birdie ideas.  This set has 15 images and if you purchase it this month (along with the Stampaganza special!!) it is possible to buy it for $5.00!!

Here is the artwork from Close to My Heart and a few images to inspire you.
So I set up my photo shoot in my butterfly garden and I laid on my belly to take the pictures!......  I am sure my neighbors thought I was nuts! :)

The inside of the card holds a gift card and all I did was add adhesive to the 3 sides of the cardstock.

I used my scraps from the Lucy paper pack and a few odds and ends so I guess this would qualify for a "Scrap Your Stash" project.  I wanted a basic design but I still had to add some "stuff" for me to like it. :)  I did NOT distress the card which is a huge challenge for me. :)

Here are the list of supplies:

X7149 Lucy paper pack - bits and pieces...
Colors of ink and cardstock...White Daisy, Lilac Mist, Blush, Sweet Leaf and Creme Brulee
Cricut cuts...Rectangle 5 with holes - 1.75" ....without holes - 1.25", Fringe flowers...2" and 3"
Z1725 - adhesive springs
Z1148 Pretty Pins (retired)

Now it is off to Annette Green's blog  where I can guarantee you will find more "bird-i-ful" artwork!

Be sure to check back for more ideas using this stamp set as well as the FREE stamps.... Don't forget you have to buy 2 first to get one free!

Enjoy!

Rio Bag Pattern Released today!

Ten years ago I introduced my line of bag patterns and since then there are literally hundreds of bag patterns to sew, knit and crochet!  I decided to update my line of bag patterns and try to compete in this crazy market I call "sewing'!

So without further ado here is my updated Rio Bag.  The bag on the left is made from laminated fabric with a ruffled trim for the top of the bag.  The bag on the right has a center front ruffle as an accent and the ruffled top.  Both bags incorporate the plastic curtain grommets as part of their handles.  Of course you may purchase handles at your favorite store and add them instead of making your own!

If you would like to purchase the pattern, you may contact Bernina-Pfaff Sewing Center at 813-969-2458 or you can let me know and I will make the arrangements for you!

MORE samples coming...

Enjoy!!

CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop

Oh my!  It is the 15th of May already!  How can that be???  Some please tell Father Time to SLOW down! :)  But my ladies do know that means that it is the CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop and so it is is time to post my creation...  If you have been hopping with us then you have just left Wendy's blog and you have landed here!   So welcome!!

So I have created a really wonderful gift for a dear friend who has helped you through "thick and thin"....  I know you have those friends ...everyone does!
Here is a facsimile of a garden apron with a packet of sunflower seeds....  a perfect package of seeds to warm up a friends day!  I used the stamp set from the Pemberley Workshop to  Go.....G1033.  Plus I added the brads from the black  Mini-Medley kit Z1393, a wonderful addition to your embellishment collection.

Now that I have whet your appetite, it is time to move on to Haley's blog
where you will always find some absolutely creative project to add to your creative projects!!
