04/01 CTMH SOTM Blog Hop

Wow - the crazy weather around the country has all of us wondering if Spring will ever arrive??? To help celebrate this colorful time of year CTMH has a beautiful stamp set for the month of April. When I first looked at this stamp set, I immediately thought of "doodling" - a technique I learned a few years ago. So I stamped a few of the images onto my cardstock and then grabbed my black marker pen and filled in the blank areas.


I used the Miracle paper pack along with crystal blue, bamboo and sweet leaf to pull my entire design together. I hope you enjoy it!

03/14 CTMH Spotlight Blog Hop

Oh my - March the 15th - or should I say the Ides of March.... only a few of my high school students know this fact ( very sad indeed...) BUT I do know this fact and I have never forgotten it! Thanks to my high school English teacher.... :)

If you are hopping on this blog you have just arrived from Jill's site. Isn't her design great? Now take a look at my post - I hope to post this picture and I pray that I do not get into trouble... My new DIL is a very private person BUT this is the cover page for the photo album that I made for them and I wanted to share it with all of you... I hope they appreciate all of LOVE that I have put into this album....



I used the spray pen to add the accents to the Sweetheart paper pack and the title and embellishments are from the Bliss paper pack -isn't it amazing how well they coordinate? 02/28 SOTM March Blog Hop

I can not believe that it is already March 1st! The stores feel like spring with spring flowers and Easter grass AND the trees are beginning to bloom. It also means that it is time for the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month blog hop. If you have been hopping with everyone else, then you have arrived from Pamela O'Connor's blog and you were inspired with a colorful Easter Bunny design from her.

Here is my version of this stamp set. I used the Modern Grid from the Technique Junkies newsletter.


It was not that hard to do. First stamp all of your designs AND then draw the 1" grid behind the images. Using your ink pads and water blender pen, you can easily color all of the boxes for your design. Add doodles to your design and then you are done!

Right now I am sure many of you across the USA are thinking "SPRING"!! SO I thought I would create a spring card and send you warm and sunny days from Tampa, FL. This stamp set is called Wonderful Charms and is perfect for the spring color combo that I selected. It reminds me of the beautiful spring days I remembered in WNY. Ejnoy!
