07/04 Happy 4th of July!

I hope all of you are having a terrific holiday and spending time with your family and friends! Welcome to the Scrapbook News and Review/Card Universe and our inspirational Oh Say Can You See 4th of July Blog Hop.

I'm so glad you could join us. If you came from Korin Sutherland's blog then you are on the right track! If you didn't you may want to hop to back to the beginning and start here

My inspiration came from Jen Rubio, another CTMH consultant and a piece of fabric I purchased at JoAnn's. I have used clothing and accessories as a starting point for years. This technique is perfect for getting my mojo going!

The photo was taken at the Marietta National Cemetery in Marietta, GA. It was a perfect back drop for my card. There were markers from the Revolutionary War up to the Vietnam War. I am so proud to be an American and this place just validated my pride!

A close-up of the card

Materials used:
CTMH Cardstock and inks: White daisy, cranberry, denim blue
Stamp sets: D1286 Today's Date, D1289 July Word Puzzle

Chek out this super creative idea using page protectors as a placemat on Jeanette Lynton's site, founder and CEO of Close to My Heart.

D1289 July Word Puzzle

D 1286 Today's Date

Be sure to leave a comment to win some "Red, White and Blue" Blog candy! I am giving away a prize package including cardstock, ribbons, brads, stickers and stamps to make your own patriotic cards. I will draw a winner Sunday night so be sure and check my blog on Monday evening. (Be patient as we will be driving back to Tampa Monday morning)

If you would like to purchase these stamp sets, check out my web site and start shopping!

Don't forget to hop over to the Cuttlebug Challenge blog and see what they are giving away! Then, hop on over to Erika Taylor's blog and check out her beautiful patriotic project.
