May SOTM Blog Hop

I have said it many times though out this year - where did the month go???  It is already May 1st!  Happy May Day!  We have had a beautiful spring here  in Tampa, FL. and I have been working on my flower bed creating a butterfly garden.  Later on this week I will share some pictures from my garden.

But this month's stamp set, reminds me of the late summer days when the sunflowers are all in bloom.  So if you have been hopping along with everyone, then you have arrived from Melinda's Blog where you have checked out her beautiful design.  I am ready for the photos and have purchased my package of sunflower seeds to plant in my backyard this week.
Doesn't this picture from CTMH inspire to plant some sunflowers in your garden as well?!

Here is my layout in which I combined the colors of Pemberley with the honey and sunflower inks to create my sunflowers.  The layout is from the Travel Sketches book by Scrapbook Generations but if you would like to check out their Sketch Support Blog click here.

Supplies:
May SOTM -S1205
X7148 Pemberley paper pack and My Stickease
Olive, Brown Bag, Sunflower and Honey inks
Brown Staz on ink
3174 - Blending Pen (LOVE this tool!)

(click on picture to get a closer look)

I hope my layout inspires you to start your own sunflower garden (OK - mine will be very small! - enough for 5 pictures!)  Now it is off to Nikka's Blog to find another bit of inspiration!

Life is amusing in oh so many ways.  Me, the "Candy Queen" can not have any more sugar.  SO I have been trying to avoid all of the Easter candy that is EVERYWHERE!!  SO I am dreaming about Peeps, Spiced jelly Beans and Peanut Butter eggs.....

To stop my desire to drive to the nearest Target and buy up all of their candy, I am hopping along the internet looking for Easter Inspiration.  This cute card caught my attention so I thought I would share it with ya'll

SO Hop on over to the Oak Island Stamp Queen's blog here to see the step-by-step tutorial for making B1402 "My Peeps"  card project.
